His goal is a simple one: to make sure you have a good time. Dressed in his tuxedo, derby and cane, Mr. Party has made a name for himself at Gregory's, Rum Runners, and The Green Door Lounge. He comes around selling his products, “Aire Fresh” The Friendship Gift scented designer roses and "Memory Tyme" celebration souvenir photos to anyone willing to buy them, offering funny musings on life and the keys to making the most of it. His enthusiastic spirit and willingness to share it with everyone has made him a star all on his own.

BIO

Luther William Brown, Sr.
President, Mr. Party Celebration Enterprises, Inc.

Luther William “Billy” Brown, Sr., was born September 1, 1952 and raised in Lansing, Michigan. After being involved in many civic and social organizations and receiving his musical training and showmanship in the J.W. Sexton High School Marching Band, he graduated in 1970. After graduating, he attended Lansing Community College (LCC) to study computers.

Luther went to work for the state of Michigan as a Computer Technician in 1972 through the early 80’s.

In 1985, Luther made a life changing decision. He enjoyed his many friends inviting him to promote their parties, special occasions, events and celebrations and calling him “Mr. Party” because they believed he is “a class act” and “the life of the party!” Thus, he engaged a well know business and marketing consultant, and with their recommendation, he decided to start his own business and become, Mr. Party, The Ambassador of Celebration and took the executive position of
President of Mr. Party Celebration Enterprises, Inc. Luther’s decision was a correct one. To ensure success, the business and marketing consultant recommended that Luther continue attending LCC studying computer applications and business management and enroll in the Greater Lansing Urban League’s Entrepreneurial Program and the local chapter of Toastmasters International to enhance his chances of his business becoming a success. After his computer training and graduating from the Greater Lansing Urban League’s Entrepreneurial Program and completing Toastmasters, his company was contacted to have him perform as Mr. Party, Master of Ceremonies for the Greater Lansing Urban League’s Annual Fundraiser Dinner. The dinner was held at Michigan State University in the Clifton and Deloris Wharton Center in East Lansing, Michigan, with entertainment performed by The Jazz Crusaders.

Since then, Luther has been in business for over twenty four years.

In 1986, his company and its products were granted a license to represent the state of Michigan’s 150 Year Sesquicentennial Celebration.

In 1987, he was chosen to perform as Mr. Party, The Host and Official Greeter for the City of Lansing’s Grand Opening
Of the Lansing Convention Center. Luther performed as Mr. Party, Master of Ceremonies in 1988 at Kalamazoo, Michigan’s Annual African American Festival.
In 1989, Luther joined the Main Street Association in Lansing as, Mr. Party, The Ambassador of Celebration,
Prominent Master of Ceremonies. He serves and performs in that capacity with the Association throughout the state of Michigan, today.

His company’s celebration products and service are famous. One of his Memory Tyme Photos was made into an album cover of a well-known music group in Detroit, Michigan, The Valley Boys. There is a fan of the product that has nearly, 250 of his
Memory Tyme Photos hanging on her wall. His Aire Fresh The Friendship Gift, scented designer roses, remains the most popular of his products among his many fans today. And clients nationwide call him regularly, for his Celebration Gram!

For over two decades, his company’s unique form of marketing, promotion and public relations, promoting healthy safe celebrations as “A Class Act” to promote fun, valued friendships, and pleasant memories everlasting, has been very successful.

Luther William “Mr. Party” Brown, Sr., resides in Lansing, Michigan. He and his three children and five grandchildren
are looking forward to continued success in the 21st century.
